Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has opened a public logo design competition to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Sri Lanka in 2027. The winning design will become the official logo for commemorative events planned throughout the anniversary year.

Who can enter?

Citizens of Japan or Sri Lanka, of any age and living anywhere in the world.

  • Submission deadline: Friday, November 13, 2026
  • Results: Expected around late December 2026 on the MOFA website (subject to change)

Important rules

  • Designs must be original and not published anywhere before.
  • Generative AI is not allowed.
  • Political, religious, commercial or culturally insensitive content will be disqualified.
